This kit contains all components for setting up a simple surveillance system: a 4-channel H.264 compact digital recorder, 4 video cameras (2 wireless surveillance cameras for outdoors, 2 mini dome camera for indoors), a wireless receiver, and ready-to-connect accessories (video combination cable for the indoor dome camera, power supply units). The surveillance center: The digital recorder (DVR) The DVR records image data from 4 cameras, outputs live images to a monitor, and plays back recordings. The resolution is up to 704 x 576 pixels (4CIF); the image repeat rate is up to 25 frames/sec. (real time) – depending on the input signal of the camera. H.264 for efficient recording Thanks to H.264 compression, the video images are saved in high quality, take up very little space on the hard drive (not included; recommended: the Seagate SV35 series), and are optimized for fast network access (streaming). Recording starts manually, according to a schedule, or upon motion detection. Rugged wireless cameras for outdoor use The 2 IR wireless outdoor cameras with 400 TVL resolution and 3.6 mm fixed lenses (angle of view: 52°) are equipped with integrated IR LEDs for day/night operation outdoors (IP66). The video images are transmitted wirelessly to the receiver (7 frames/sec.) connected to the DVR. No cables are required other than the power cable – which is advantageous in case of outdoor installation. Mini-cameras for indoors The indoor dome cameras with 500 TVL and the same lens / angle of view are used for discreet surveillance under daylight conditions / with sufficient lighting.
