Just like many other plants, Alocasias do not do well with wet feet. Do not overwater your plant, and watch out for signs of leaves turning yellow and limp. Soil: The plant thrives in well-aerated soil that drains water quickly, and therefore should not be placed in soils that are too compacted and heavy, which cause prolonged periods of water retention.
